Getting Real
What Do Men Really Want?
John W. Davis is an educator, therapist and Program Administrator for Energenesis Institute, a body-centered Reichian training school. His 40 years of professional practice is centered on recovering our sexuality and aliveness throughout the human life cycle, with offices in Birch Bay, Washington, Los Angeles, CA and Seattle, Washington.
John was a founding member of the U.S. Association for Body Psychotherapy (USABP), and the somatic branch of the Association for Humanistic Psychology (AHP), and was a founding member of the Washington Professional Counselors Association (WAPROCA).
John has delivered papers and participated on panels in International Somatic Conferences in Mexico City, Barcelona, Montreal, Boston, and San Francisco.
His Transpersonal Somatic Coaching at the Energenesis Institute views the body as a transformational vehicle for the soul's journey. We find a holding block in the seven segments (vaguely corresponding to Ayurvedic chakras) that is fundamentally trapped energy, sometimes an old unexpressed emotional wound. We seek to release the block and then integrate that segment back into a holistic harmonic that promotes a clear mind, an open heart and a flowing body.
